making history homework really real

A Danish boy doing history WWII homework and his dad used metal detectors to search their family's fields for a German WWII plane. His grandfather had told stories about how a German plane had crashed in their field during the war. They actually found the plane, remains of the pilot, and live ammunition. Forensic police and a bomb disposal team were called in. Researchers hope to identify the pilot and bury him later in Germany. I hope the boy gets an A on his homework. Talk about seriously researching your assignment. Read more about it here http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39196106
