Fall 2016 Conservation and Collections Care Camp Announced
The organizers of the fifth Conservation and Collections Care Camp are pleased to announce that the next meeting set is for Wednesday, November 2, 2016. It will be held at Spring Arbor University, Ralph Carey Forum in the Student Life Center. The meeting will be held 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event is free, however registration is required. Lunch will be provided and there is no cost for parking.
The theme of this camp is Outside the Comfort Zone, where we encourage presenters to explore conservation issues that are outside their “normal.” Whether it is paper-based archivist who finds nitrate film hidden in a collection or a small-shop that must deal with multiple kinds of historical material after a flood, this camp strives to touch all the bases, in order to help you get back inside your comfort zone.
The agenda will consist of informal presentations and discussions by attendees and presenters who can share their situations and solutions. To register and let us know if you would like to speak or hear about something specific please email: Whitney Miller (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Registration deadline is October 21, 2016.
