Iraqi National Museum reopens after ISIS destroys ancient works of art

The Iraqi National Museum, looted 12 years ago, reopened early in defiance of ISIS ruining other ancient antiquities recently within its borders (see next paragraph). The reopened museum looks good. ISIS destroyed a number of ancient artifacts in a Mosul, Iraq, museum with sledgehammers and a pneumatic drill at the site of the ancient Syrian capital, known as the Nergal Gate. The video makes you sick. Archaeologists must be weeping around the world.
