Phone kill switch and phishing online dating services

Two interesting bits today:

1) Android and Windows, Google and Microsoft are looking at adding a kill switch to phones which would render a phone inoperable after it has been stolen. This will hopefully cut down on phone theft. Read more about it here http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-27935972'

2) A massive phishing attack of online dating sites, including Match.com, eHarmony, Zoosk, Christian Mingle and many others just happened. It looks like it happened because of a simple, cheap kit that allows the criminals to get passwords into accounts and then blackmail you for your data.
